inyinhua Lu (Lonicerae Flos Distillate) is a Chinese medicinal preparation. It is an aromatic aqueous distillate collected from the dried flower buds of Lonicera japonica Thunb., Lonicera hypoglauca Miq., Lonicera confusa DC., or Lonicera dasystyla Rehd. (family Caprifoliaceae) through steam distillation.

Modern Pharmacology
Jinyinhua Lu has the pharmacological effects of antibacterial activity, sedative and hypnotic effects, and anti-inflammatory activity, among others.
Ingredients
Jinyinhua Lu is the distillate of Lonicera japonica flower buds. Therefore, its chemical composition mainly consists of the volatile components of honeysuckle, including 62 compounds such as benzyl benzoate, methyl cinnamate, methyl 14-methylpentadecanoate, linalool, geranylacetone, nerolidol, 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol, and dibenzothiophene, among others. It also contains some active constituents found in honeysuckle, such as chlorogenic acid.
Usage & Dosage
1. Internal use: 60–120 g, warmed by steaming and taken orally; or infused in boiling water as a tea substitute. 2. External use: Apply topically (rubbing).
Contraindications
1. A light diet is recommended while taking this medication. 2. When taking this medication, it is not advisable to simultaneously take tonic (nourishing) Chinese patent medicines. 3. Drug interactions may occur if used concurrently with other medications. Please consult a physician or pharmacist for details.
