Biē Dǎn (Soft-shelled Turtle Gallbladder) is a traditional Chinese medicinal material. It is the bile of Trionyx sinensis (Wiegmann) (Chinese soft-shelled turtle) or Trionyx steindachneri Siebenrock (wattle-necked soft-shelled turtle), animals belonging to the family Trionychidae.

Usage & Dosage
Primarily for external use. Take the bile from one soft-shelled turtle gallbladder, mix and grind it together with fragrant ink, a small amount of musk, and borneol, then dip a chicken feather into the mixture and apply it to the affected area.
Contraindications
Use with caution in patients with Spleen-Stomach deficiency cold.

For hemorrhoids and anal fistulas (Zhou Yisheng Jiabao Fang) Take one soft‑shelled turtle gallbladder, use its juice to grind ink stick, add a small amount of Shexiang (Musk) and Bingpian (Borneol), dip a chicken feather into the mixture, and apply to the affected area.
