Zygophylli Xanthoxyli Radix
霸王根，中药名。一味源于蒺藜科（Zygophyllaceae）霸王属植物霸王 Zygophyllum xanthoxylum (Bunge) Maxim.（亦作 Sarcozygium xanthoxylon Bunge）干燥根的传统中药。本品为落叶小灌木，高50～150厘米，根粗壮，外皮棕色，枝开展，小枝先端呈刺状，皮淡灰色。多生于荒漠和半荒漠的沙砾质河流阶地、低山山坡、碎石低丘和干河床。

Usage & Dosage
For oral administration: decoct in water, 3–6 g.
Contraindications
Should be used under the guidance of a physician. Do not self-medicate. Pregnant women and those with weak constitutions should use with caution.

For abdominal distension due to Qi stagnation (empirical formula) Take 3–6 g of Bà Wáng Gēn, decoct in water, and take orally 1–2 times daily.
