Toad tongue
Aliases：Chán Chú Shé Tou (Toad Tongue).
Chán Shé (Toad Tongue) is a traditional Chinese medicinal material derived from the tongue of Bufo bufo gargarizans Cantor (Asiatic Toad) or Bufo melanostictus Schneider (Black-spectacled Toad), animals belonging to the family Bufonidae. Its medicinal effects were first recorded in the Qing Dynasty work Bencao Gangmu Shiyi (Supplements to the Compendium of Materia Medica), under the name “Bá Dīng” (Extracting Furuncles).

For external use: crush into a paste and apply to the affected area.
