Dog‘s latex
Gǒu Rǔ Zhī (Dog‘s Milk) is a traditional Chinese medicinal material. It is the milk of Canis familiaris Linnaeus, an animal belonging to the family Canidae. The milk of white dogs is considered to be of superior quality, as it is traditionally believed to have particularly notable effects in improving vision and promoting hair growth. This medicinal material was first recorded in Bencao Gangmu Shiyi (Supplements to the Compendium of Materia Medica).

Modern Pharmacology
Modern research has shown that dog milk is rich in proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, with tonic, vision-improving, and hair growth-promoting effects.
Ingredients
Dog milk contains 69.50% water, 15.54% protein, 10.45% fat, 3.19% sugars, and 0.73% salts. The salts contain potassium oxide (K₂O) 11.86%, sodium oxide (Na₂O) 5.75%, calcium oxide (CaO) 33.74%, magnesium oxide (MgO) 1.57%, iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) 0.12%, phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅) 36.79%, and chlorine 13.14%.
Usage & Dosage
For oral administration: take with wine, in an appropriate amount. For external use: apply an appropriate amount topically to the affected area.

Selected Formulas
For glaucoma or blindness (Bencao Shiyi) Take the milk from a newborn white dog before its eyes have opened, and drop it into the eyes. For baldness (Puji Fang) Apply white dog milk to the hair follicles of the bald area to promote the growth of black hair. For red baldness with hair loss (Bencao Gangmu) Apply dog milk frequently to the affected area for excellent results.
