Jǐngdǐní (Mud at the Bottom of a Well) is a traditional Chinese medicinal material. It is the grayish‑black mud that accumulates at the bottom of a well. It is distributed throughout China. It has the effects of clearing heat, removing toxicity, and preventing miscarriage. Medication Warning: Jǐngdǐní is a mineral‑based medicinal and is for external use only. Indications

Burns and scalds: Caused by external heat‑toxin. Scorpion stings: External application of Jingdini can treat scorpion stings.

For infantile heat boils (Tan Yeweng Shiyan Fang) Take mud from the bottom of a well and apply around the boils. For scorpion stings (Qianjin Yaofang) Take mud from the bottom of a well and apply; replace when it becomes warm. For burns and scalds (Zhenglei Bencao) Take mud from the bottom of a well and apply externally to the affected area. For centipede bites (Qianjin Fang) Take mud from the bottom of a well and apply frequently.
