Gāo Shān Bǎi (Sabinae Squamatae Ramulus et Strobilus) is a traditional Chinese medicinal material. It is the branchlets or cones of Juniperus squamata Buch.-Ham. ex D. Don (also known as Sabina squamata (Buch.Ham.) Ant.), a plant belonging to the family Cupressaceae. It grows in alpine zones at altitudes of 1,600–4,000 meters, mostly on the tops of limestone mountains.

Indications
Rheumatic arthralgia, nephritis with edema, urinary tract infection, and carbuncles, sores and toxic swellings.
Usage & Dosage
For oral administration: decoct in water, 9–15 g; or prepare as an extract. For topical application: decoct an appropriate amount in water for washing, or grind into powder and apply with a suitable base.
