Herba Teucrii Omeiensis
Aliases：Emei Xiangke; Emei Shican (Omei Stone Silkworm); Yeyan (Wild Tobacco); Yeyan (variant of Wild Tobacco).
Omei Germander is the name of a traditional Chinese medicine. It is the whole plant of Teucrium omeiense Sun ex S. Chow, a plant in the family Lamiaceae. It grows in moist forests. It is recorded in Chinese Materia Medica, Wanxian Chinese Herbal Medicine, and other herbal works.

Modern pharmacological research on Omei Germander specifically remains insufficient. The following findings are primarily derived from chemical and pharmacological studies on plants of the genus Teucrium, and are provided for reference: Antibacterial and antioxidant effects: The essential oil of Teucrium species (such as Teucrium yemense) contains major constituents including (E)-caryophyllene (11.2%), α-humulene (4.0%), γ-selinene (5.5%), 7-epi-α-selinene (20.1%), and caryophyllene oxide (20.1%). The essential oil of this genus exhibits antibacterial, antioxidant, and cytotoxic activities. Antiseptic and digestive system effects: Teucrium omeiense is traditionally used to treat digestive system problems and as a preservative. Note: The above pharmacological findings are largely derived from studies on the essential oil of other species in the genus Teucrium. Dedicated systematic pharmacological research on Omei Germander (the whole plant of T. omeiense) remains to be further conducted. Traditional actions and indications should remain the primary basis for use.

Usage & Dosage
External use: Appropriate amount, pounded and applied topically.

Selected Formulas
1、 For boils and toxic swellings (Wanxian Chinese Herbal Medicine) Take 15g of Emei Xiangliao (a local herb) and 9g of Shancigu (Cremastra appendiculata). Crush into a pulp and apply to the affected area. 2、 For venomous snake bites (Wanxian Chinese Herbal Medicine) Take 30g of Emei Xiangliao, 15g each of Chuipencao (Sedum sarmentosum) and Haijiaoye (chili leaf). Crush together and apply externally to the affected area. Change every half day.
