Celery and Pineapple Juice
Celery and Pineapple Juice is a refreshing and healthy vegetable-fruit drink. The crisp, fiber-rich celery offers a unique, mild aroma, while the juicy pineapple provides a natural sweetness that perfectly balances the celery's "green" taste. The result is a fresh, sweet, and layered flavor. Incredibly easy to make, this juice is ready in just 5-10 minutes, making it an ideal choice for spring wellness and summer refreshment.

Main Ingredients
- Celery 300g
- Pineapple 300g
- Water 300ml
- Honey 10g
- Lemon juice a dash
- Ice cubes as needed
Steps
Celery: Remove the leaves, wash, and cut into small sections. Tender leaves can be kept for a milder flavor. Pineapple: Peel, remove the hard core, and cut into small pieces. Soak the pineapple pieces in lightly salted water for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with cold water and drain. This step effectively destroys bromelain to prevent allergies and mouth irritation.

Place the prepared celery and pineapple pieces into a juicer or blender. Add water (150-300ml, adjust to desired consistency). Blend until smooth. If using a high-speed blender, about 1 minute is sufficient.

Pour the juice into a glass and stir in honey to taste. For a more refreshing taste, add a few drops of lemon juice and some ice cubes. Best consumed immediately to preserve its vitamins and flavor.

TCM Notes
Celery: Rich in dietary fiber, potassium, iron, zinc, and other trace elements. Known to calm the liver, lower blood pressure, soothe the nerves, and promote diuresis, it offers auxiliary therapeutic benefits for primary, gestational, and menopausal hypertension. Its high fiber content also stimulates gastrointestinal motility and promotes bowel movements, making it ideal for weight loss. Pineapple: Rich in vitamins A, B, C, and minerals like calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. The enzyme "bromelain" helps break down proteins, dissolve fibrin and blood clots, aiding in reducing inflammation and edema. Its sugars, salts, and enzymes also have a diuretic effect, beneficial for those with nephritis and hypertension. Together, they achieve the effects of clearing heat, strengthening the spleen, stimulating appetite, calming the liver, lowering blood pressure, and promoting diuresis. One serving (approx. 300ml) provides about 197 kcal and is rich in dietary fiber, vitamin C, and potassium.
