Bai Zi Ren Tea
Bai Zi Ren Tea is a classic calming herbal tea originating from the Qigong Medicinal Diet Therapy and Rescue Deviation Manual. Bai Zi Ren is the dried mature seed kernel of the oriental arborvitae (Platycladus orientalis), primarily produced in Shandong, Henan, and Hebei provinces. It is neutral in nature, sweet in taste, and acts on the Heart, Kidney, and Large Intestine meridians. Brewed with boiling water or decocted as a tea, it has a clear liquor with a light, sweet fragrance. This tea is renowned for nourishing the heart, calming the mind, moistening the intestines, and promoting bowel movements. It is especially suitable for those with palpitations, insomnia, restlessness, and constipation due to Yin-blood deficiency. Preparation takes only 5-15 minutes – a convenient daily tea for nourishing qi and blood.

Main Ingredients
- Platycladi Semen (Bai Zi Ren) 20g
- Scented tea 1g
- Boiling water 300ml
Steps
Remove impurities, residual shells, and seed coats. Lightly crush (to release active compounds more easily).

Place the prepared Bai Zi Ren in a teacup or thermos. Pour in about 200-300ml of boiling water. Cover and steep for 5-15 minutes.

1 dose daily, drink freely throughout the day as a tea. Can be re-steeped until the flavor fades.
