Efficacy & Actions

This is an important point on the body. It treats reproductive system disorders such as scrotal eczema and testicular swelling with pain, as well as urinary system disorders such as urinary retention and enuresis. When experiencing difficulty urinating, genital dampness and itching, or fatigue and weakness, massaging this point can help relieve the symptoms. This point belongs to the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian. It clears heat and removes dampness, soothes the liver and regulates qi, unblocks and benefits the lower jiao, and regulates menstruation and stops leukorrhea. It is a commonly used key point for treating urinary and reproductive system disorders. First documented in Zhenjiu Jiayijing. "Zu" refers to the foot; "Wuli" means five cun of distance. Located on the medial thigh, five cun below Qichong (ST-30) – hence the name Zuwuli (Foot Five Li).
