Pineapple and Kiwi Juice

Pineapple and Kiwi Juice is a refreshing, sweet, and tangy natural fruit juice, made with fresh pineapple and kiwi fruit as the main ingredients. Pineapple is neutral in nature, sweet and sour in taste, and channels to the Spleen and Stomach meridians. It is known for clearing summer heat, promoting salivation, quenching thirst, and aiding digestion. The bromelain in pineapple effectively breaks down proteins, aiding digestion. Kiwi fruit is cold in nature, sweet and sour in taste, and channels to the Stomach and Bladder meridians. It is known for clearing heat, promoting salivation, strengthening the spleen, and promoting diuresis. With one of the highest vitamin C contents among fruits, it is often called the "King of Vitamin C." Together, the sweetness of pineapple perfectly complements the tangy flavor of kiwi, achieving the combined effects of clearing summer heat, promoting salivation, stimulating appetite, aiding digestion, and boosting vitamin C. The juice has a vibrant golden-green color and a rich fruity aroma. This juice is especially suitable for those with summer heat and thirst, poor digestion, and loss of appetite.

Main Ingredients

  • Pineapple (peeled net weight) 200g
  • Kiwi fruit 2-3 pieces (approx. 150-200g)
  • Honey (or rock sugar) To taste
  • Filtered water 50-100ml (to adjust consistency, optional)
  • Lemon juice A few drops

Steps

  1. Pineapple: Peel the pineapple, remove the eyes, and cut into small pieces. Place the pineapple pieces in a bowl, add a pinch of salt and water, and soak for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside. Saltwater soaking breaks down the allergenic components of bromelain, reduces mouth irritation, and enhances the sweetness. Kiwi: Rinse, peel, and cut into small pieces.

  3. Blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds until smooth. For a smoother texture, strain through a fine-mesh sieve. Skipping straining retains more dietary fiber, which is better for relieving constipation.

Add 1-2 slices of ginger to neutralize the coldness Those with diarrhea — kiwi is cold and contains dietary fiber, which may worsen diarrhea Diabetics — both pineapple and kiwi contain natural sugars, and honey adds more. Use no sugar or minimal sugar, and limit to 200ml per serving Those with kidney disease (potassium restriction required) — kiwi is high in potassium; intake should be guided by a physician Those with excess stomach acid or gastric ulcers — the acidity may irritate the gastric mucosa Infants under 1 year old — bromelain may cause allergies — not recommended Pregnant women — kiwi is cold in nature; avoid in the first trimester.
