Indications

Precise Location
In the scapular region, in the depression between the acromial end of the clavicle and the spine of the scapula.
Location Method
Follow the clavicle outward to the acromial end, then locate the spine of the scapula on the back – the point is in the depression between these two bony landmarks.
Massage Method
① Massage: Press and knead with the thumb. ② Cupping: Apply retained cupping with a fire cup. Pressing and kneading Jugu with the thumb can prevent and treat shoulder and arm pain. Therapeutic actions: Reduces swelling and disperses nodules, unblocks the meridians and collaterals.
Compatibility
Shoulder pain: Combine with Jianyu (LI-15). Inability to raise the arm: Combine with Qiangu (SI-2) to unblock and dredge the meridians. Hemoptysis (coughing up blood): Combine with Kongzui (LU-6), Chize (LU-5), and Yuji (LU-10) to descend qi and stop coughing, clear heat and stop bleeding.
