It regulates the intestines and qi, unblocks the fu-organ and guides stagnation, and regulates Chong and Ren. It is a commonly used key point for treating digestive and abdominal disorders. First documented in Zhenjiu Jiayijing. "Zhong" means middle; "Zhu" means to pour or infuse. Located in the lower abdomen, this point is where Kidney Meridian qi pours in – hence the name Zhongzhu (Middle Pouring).
