Indications

Precise Location
In the lower abdomen, 4 cun below the umbilicus, 3 cun lateral to Zhongji (RN-3).
Location Method
Lie supine. First locate Zhongji (RN-3, 4 cun below the umbilicus on the midline), then measure 3 cun (approximately 4 finger-widths) laterally – that is the point. One point on each side.
Massage Method
Press and knead with the pads of the index and middle fingers for 3–5 minutes per session, 1–2 times daily – a local sore-distending sensation radiating to the lower abdomen is optimal. Alternatively, apply mild-warm moxa stick for 10–15 minutes once daily. Therapeutic actions: Regulates menstruation and qi, lifts and secures prolapse, secures the uterus, warms and nourishes Chong and Ren.
Compatibility
Uterine prolapse: Combine with Zusanli (ST-36) – to supplement middle qi and secure the uterus. Infertility: Combine with Guanyuan (RN-4), Sanyinjiao (SP-6), and Shenshu (BL-23). Irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea: Combine with Sanyinjiao (SP-6), Guanyuan (RN-4), and Xuehai (SP-10). Amenorrhea: Combine with Guilai (ST-29), Sanyinjiao (SP-6), and Zhongji (RN-3). Leukorrhea: Combine with Daimai (GB-26), Sanyinjiao (SP-6), and Baihuanshu (BL-30). Persistent postpartum lochiorrhea: Combine with Qihai (RN-6), Guanyuan (RN-4), and Sanyinjiao (SP-6).

Contraindications
Located in the lower abdomen – needling and moxibustion are contraindicated in pregnant women. Use moxibustion with caution in patients with excessive menstruation. Needling depth should be carefully controlled – generally 0.8–1.2 cun vertically, avoiding the bladder.
