Location Method
Sit upright or lie supine with the arm extended and palm facing up. Measure 4 cun (approximately 5 finger-widths) upward from the wrist crease (Daling, PC-7) – the points are in the depressions on both sides of the flexor carpi radialis tendon. Two points on each side, four points in total.
Massage Method
Press and knead with the thumb pad for 3–5 minutes per session, 1–2 times daily – a local sore-distending sensation is optimal. For enhanced effect, combine with Kegel exercises (contracting the anal sphincter) while massaging. First documented in the Bianque Shenying Zhenjiu Yulong Jing (Bianque's Divine Acupuncture Jade Dragon Classic). "Er" means two; "Bai" means white or visible. Located on the medial forearm with two points on each side (four points in total), this point treats hemorrhoids, rectal prolapse, and other anorectal disorders – hence the name Erbai (Two White Points). Erbai is an experienced effective point for treating hemorrhoids and rectal prolapse. Clinical practice commonly uses reducing needling technique, often combined with picking therapy at Dachangshu (BL-25), or needling at Changqiang (GV-1) and moxibustion at Baihui (GV-20). It is effective for various types of hemorrhoids (internal, external, mixed) and rectal prolapse.
Contraindications
Located on the forearm – needling should avoid blood vessels and nerves, generally 0.5–1 cun vertically. Moxibustion is permissible but rarely used. Use with caution in pregnant women. Picking therapy should be performed by trained professionals with strict disinfection.
