Efficacy & Actions

This point belongs to the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian and is the Back Transporting Point where qi of the Small Intestine is transported to the back. It regulates the Small Intestine, separates the clear from the turbid, and regulates qi to relieve pain. It is a commonly used key point for treating Small Intestine dysfunction and digestive system disorders. First documented in Zhenjiu Jiayijing. "Xiaochang" refers to the Small Intestine; "Shu" means point of transport. This point is where Small Intestine qi is transported to the back – an important point for treating Small Intestine disorders – hence the name Xiaochangshu (Small Intestine Shu).
