Efficacy & Actions
More and more working women sit for entire days due to busy schedules – their gluteal muscles remain relaxed and compressed for prolonged periods, and with lack of exercise, the muscles lose elasticity, causing the originally firm buttocks to become loose and saggy. In such cases, pressing Chengfu can help restore muscle elasticity and vitality, improving sagging buttocks. This point belongs to the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian. It relaxes the sinews and unblocks the collaterals, strengthens the lumbar region and legs, and regulates urination and defecation. It is a commonly used point for treating lumbosacral and lower limb disorders. First documented in Zhenjiu Jiayijing. "Cheng" means to bear or receive; "Fu" means to support or uphold. Located at the center of the gluteal fold, this point bears and supports the body's weight – hence the name Chengfu (Supporting Lift). It is also known as "Rouxi," "Yingguan," and "Pibu."
