Efficacy & Actions

It soothes the chest and regulates qi, calms the heart and settles the spirit, and harmonizes the stomach and descends rebellious qi. It is a commonly used key point for treating heart, chest, and stomach disorders. First documented in Zhenjiu Jiayijing. "Ju" means great; "Que" means palace or gateway. Located at the junction of the chest and abdomen, this point serves as the gateway for heart qi – hence the name Juque (Great Palace).
