Indications
Knee joint pain, lower limb paralysis, beriberi (athlete's foot), and edema.
Precise Location
Located on the Stomach Meridian. With the knee flexed, in the depression on the lateral side of the patella and patellar ligament (the outer knee eye).
Location Method
Place both palms facing downward lightly on the knees – the point is where the middle finger rests in the depression on the inferolateral side of the patella.
Massage Method
Place both palms facing downward lightly on the knees – press vertically with the middle finger pad into the point. Apply once each morning and evening for 1–3 minutes per session. Therapeutic actions: Reduces swelling and relieves pain, unblocks the meridians and collaterals, dispels wind and cold.
Compatibility
Beriberi (athlete's foot): Combine with Huantiao (GB-30), Dubi (ST-35), Taichong (LR-3), and Taibai (SP-3). Disease overview: A common skin disease caused by fungal infection, which can lead to tinea manus and tinea unguium – scratching may cause secondary bacterial infection and serious complications. Massage sequence: Sit upright and rotate to massage Huantiao on the chair for 3 minutes; soak both feet in warm water for 2–3 minutes; when warm, use the heel of one foot to press behind the toe webs of the other foot, then push forward to the toes and rub back – light on return, heavy on push, without injuring the skin. Rub each toe web 50–80 times, alternating feet, at a speed of 90–120 times per minute, once nightly. Leg and knee pain: Combine with Biguan (ST-31), Dubi (ST-35), and Futu (ST-32). Fecal incontinence: Combine with Huiyin (RN-1).
